Since it’s opening in June 2010, the Patara quickly became a reference for its Thai cuisine and is one of the first addresses of cosmopolitan Vienna; there is no way around it. This stronghold of culinary sophistication is truly the ambassadress in Vienna for one of the best restaurants in Bangkok. It is distinguished by an authentic, but at the same time modern haute cuisine, which offers completely new combinations in the combination of spices, taste and preparation. The restaurant is nestled in an extraordinary ambience of St. Peter's Square at the famous “Graben”, and has the expertise, the exclusive recipes and lives the philosophy of the Thai parent company.


The chefs and the entire kitchen associates are trained in Bangkok and need to gather at least five years of experience in one of the own restaurants, before they can come to Vienna. To guarantee origin and freshness, the ingredients are flown in twice a week from Thailand and then prepared with the best local produce.An extensive wine list, which was been especially composed to complement the spices, concludes this unique dining experience that combines the best of the Orient and the Occident.
